For DE filters, we inspect each grid for tears, check the manifold for cracks, and verify proper DE powder distribution. If the filter can be repaired with component replacement, we provide a flat-rate quote covering parts and labor. Common repairs include cartridge element replacement, DE grid replacement, sand media replacement, multiport valve rebuild or replacement, and internal manifold repairs. As general guidance, cartridge elements often run $150 to $400, DE grid sets $200 to $500 and sand media replacement $300 to $600, depending on the filter model and parts.
When a filter has reached end of life, whether due to a cracked tank, corroded internal components, or repeated failures, repair stops making sense and we recommend a properly sized filter replacement instead. We evaluate your pump flow rate, pool volume, and debris environment to recommend the right filter size and type.
